Our Mission

Our mission is to offer high-quality Spanish footwear that is made with respect for the artisans who create it, the environment we all share, and the animals that provide some of the materials we use. We produce in small quantities, focus on long-lasting designs, and are committed to becoming more transparent and responsible every year.

Where Our Shoes Are Made

All ZORIANA shoes are designed and produced in Spain, a country with strong labour laws and protections. We work with small, carefully selected workshops and manufacturers that share our values of quality, craftsmanship, and fair treatment of workers.

• Production takes place in Spain in small and medium-sized workshops.
• We prioritize long-term relationships with our partners instead of constant switching.
• We regularly visit and communicate with our producers to stay close to how our shoes are made.

As a growing brand, we are continuously improving the level of traceability in our supply chain and aim to publish more detailed information about individual factories and production stages over time.

People & Fair Working Conditions

The people who make our shoes are at the heart of ZORIANA. We are committed to supporting fair and safe working conditions across our supply chain.

We are introducing a Code of Conduct for our suppliers that covers:

• No child labour or forced labour.
• Safe and healthy working environments.
• Fair wages in line with or above local legal requirements.
• Respect for workers’ rights, including freedom of association where applicable.
• No discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, or other personal characteristics.

Our goal is for all key suppliers to formally acknowledge and align with our Code of Conduct and to improve transparency at each stage of the supply chain, from material sourcing to finished shoes.

Materials & Environmental Responsibility

We know that fashion has an impact on the environment, and we are committed to reducing our footprint step by step. As a small brand, we may not be perfect, but we are actively working to make better choices.

Materials

• We focus on durable materials so that each pair of shoes can be worn for many seasons, reducing the need for constant replacement.
• Where possible, we source materials locally within Spain or the EU to reduce transport distances.
• We are exploring options for incorporating more eco-preferred and recycled materials into future collections.

Production & Waste

• We produce in small batches to avoid overproduction and dead stock.
• We work with our workshops to minimize offcuts and material waste.
• We are gradually improving our packaging to be lighter, more recyclable, and with minimal plastic wherever realistically possible.

Packaging

• We use simple, minimalist packaging aimed at protection and recyclability, not excess.
• We encourage our customers to reuse or recycle our boxes and paper whenever they can.

Animal Welfare

Some of our shoes are made using leather, which is valued for its durability and comfort. At the same time, we recognise our responsibility to animals and to the customers who care about animal welfare.

• We do not use fur, angora, exotic animal skins, or exotic animal hair.
• We aim to source leather only as a by-product of the food industry, not from animals raised solely for their skins.
• We are working towards partnering only with tanneries that follow strict environmental and animal-welfare standards.
• We are exploring and testing leather-free and vegan alternatives for future collections.

Our long-term goal is to expand the range of styles that are free from any animal-derived materials, while still meeting our standards for comfort, durability, and aesthetics.

Our Roadmap & Future Goals

Sustainability is not a fixed label but an ongoing process. Below are some of the concrete goals we are working towards:

• Transparency: Publish more detailed information about our main factories and suppliers, including locations and key standards they follow.
• Materials: Increase the share of eco-preferred or recycled materials in our collections over the next few seasons.
• Packaging: Move as close as possible to fully recyclable or compostable packaging, with minimal plastic elements.
• Traceability: Map more stages of our supply chain from raw materials to finished products and share this with our community.
• Vegan Options: Develop more leather-free styles for customers who prefer footwear without animal-derived materials.

We will update this page as we make progress, set new targets, and learn from our partners, customers, and industry best practices.
